News Report: Tim Tebow Offered Teammates Bounties to Help Opponents Up
The report backs up those who have said that the bounty program run by the New Orleans Saints is far from unique, although no one would have believed that the supposedly moral, charitable Tebow would be at the center of such a heinous enterprise.
Yet according to sources, Tebow paid Broncos defensive players Von Miller, Brian Dawkins and Elvis Dumervil more than $50,000 each over the course of the season for helping opposing players back to their feet after tackling them. Many other Denver defensive players were also paid by Tebow. The quarterback reportedly would throw in an extra $200 for each time a teammate told an opponent: "Great effort on that play, friend. God bless you," while helping them up.
