News Bills Players Already Tuning Out Chan Gailey

It appears the honeymoon is over for Chan Gailey and the Buffalo Bills. Just days after Gailey’s hiring, players on the team are already tuning him out, with one veteran reporting that “he has totally lost the team.”

While ownership has yet to comment on the Gailey situation, it appears that his days as Buffalo Bills coach could be numbered.

“Chan has totally lost this team,” said one player, who asked not to be identified. “People just aren’t buying into anything he’s saying. Yes, he just started and he hasn’t really done any coaching and he hasn’t even met most of the players, but there’s a feeling among the team that his message is getting a little stale. This is the fastest I’ve ever seen it happen, except when Cam Cameron was tuned out by the Dolphins before he was even hired.”

One piece of evidence that the Bills have turned on Gailey is the fact that none of the team’s veterans have returned the new coach’s phone calls.

“He’s tried to reach out to some of the veteran guys who have been here a long time and he hasn’t had any luck,” the player said. “It’s not that they don’t respect him or anything. It’s just that they don’t really believe in what he’s trying to do. Or, in the case of Trent Edwards, they’ve never heard of him and thought he was a telemarketer.”

One player who would go on record was wide receiver Terrell Owens. Owens said he didn’t feel Gailey was able to relate to his players and criticized him for refusing to listen to his players’ input.

“Some guys just don't have the ability to communicate well with players and I think that’s what’s happening with Chan,” Owens said on the Dan Patrick radio show. “Plus, he won’t listen to any suggestions. I left him a voice mail saying ‘Get me the ball, motherf—ker!’ and he never even returned my call. It was Dick Jauron's number, but I assume he's living in the same place. So I’m tuning him out. Usually it’s the coach tuning me out, so I’m turning the tables here.”

New Bills GM Buddy Nix is standing by his head coach, insisting that it’s way too early to judge him on his job performance. He also doesn’t believe he’s losing his players.

“I think that’s bunk. I really do,” Nix said yesterday. “Chan has been our coach for three days and people are already saying he’s lost the team? He hasn’t even had a training camp yet. He’s still moving into his office. In my experience, it usually takes at least one season for a coach to truly lose his players, which would work out fine for us, because about the amount of time we need to convince Bill Cowher to come here.”

News Associated Press: A**hole Terrell Owens Feels He's Being Goaded by the Media Like the Pussy He Is

From SportsPickle's wire services.

Terrell Owens, dickhead extraordinaire, feels like he's being provoked.

The washed-up Buffalo wide receiver,a day after offering mostly terse answers to probing, insightful and respectful questions posed by renowned sporting journalists following the Bills' 27-7 loss to the New Orleans Saints, told the "Two Live Stews" on Sporting News Radio that the media is trying to get him to stir things up in Buffalo, as he did in Dallas and Philadelphia.

"It really just shows you the angle that the media has taken all these years," Owens said stupidly during the interview, unable to get on a better show than something on Sporting News Radio. "OnSunday, as you saw, the media took the initiative to try to get me to kind of go down the wrong path. I know the last two teams that I've been on, I felt like I left those teams prematurely due to media interviews that I've done and things kind of taken out of context and they created sort of a media whirlwind in the locker room and things kind of went downhill from there. I'm just trying to do the best job I can do as far as answering the questions and trying to be a better teammate and not try to throw people under the bus."

Owens went on and on from there — blah, blah, blah, blah — but it was pretty boring and self-serving, which is not at all surprising coming from this ass. Plus, if he wasn't going to speak ill of his teammates, why listen to him?

During his news conference on Sunday after the Bills loss — in which his streak of 185 consecutive games with a reception was snapped (Ha-ha!) — Owens was repeatedly asked about his lack of involvement in the team's offense.

"Just going with the plays that are called," Owens unfortunately replied repeatedly to those questions. "Whether I like them or don't, I'm just going with the plays that are called."

He admitted some frustration with the lack of pass attempts downfield but he sidestepped a question about whether the Bills and quarterback Trent Edwards is looking enough to the team's top receivers, making us wonder why we are sending a bunch of reporters up to the hellhole of Buffalo if this guy isn't going to say stuff that will make headlines.

"No, I don't want to answer that," Owens said Sunday. "I don't want to answer that, because whatever I say you guys are going to turn it to however you want to say it."

What a queer.

Associated Press reporters Matthew Carlyle, Bob Tefford and Marsha Lynch contributed to this report, and all of them agree that Terrell Owens is a total pussy who isn't man enough to say what's really on his mind. Prove us wrong, Terrell. The ball is in your court. (Don't drop it like you normally do, loser! HA!)

News 5 Tips for Properly Vandalizing an Athlete's Property

Buffalo Bills kick returner Leodis McKelvin had his property vandalized this week after his late-game fumble led to the Bills' loss to the Patriots.

The vandals spray-painted some messages on McKelvin's lawn and then turned themselves in a few days later. Fail.

There is a right way and a wrong way for vandalizing an athlete's property. Here are 5 tips to do it the right way.

1. Be constructive with your criticism— Don't just spray paint "U SUCK" on their driveway. How will that fix anything? Give some helpful tips on how they can improve. Dump lye on their lawn in a pattern that will reveal the X's and O's of a winning play. Or, using the entrails of their family cat, spell out "Consider not returning a kick out of the end zone when you have a big lead late in the fourth quarter. Much appreciated!" (I've found the cat's tail and one eyeball is perfect for making the explanation point at the end.) The athlete you targeted won't be angry, he'll be appreciative of your help. (As no one likes cats.)

2. Sign your work — If you're angry enough to vandalize an athlete's property, you should be man enough to sign a name to it. But not your name. That's crazy. You'd get arrested doing that. No, sign the name of someone else you hate almost as much on the team. For example, if you spray paint: "U SUCK, LEODIS!" Below that you want to add: "Sincerely, Dick Jauron." This puts the lousy player on notice AND gets the other person arrested. Two birds with one stone. Also, this reminds me: if they have birds, stone them. It's fun and birds can't scratch you up like that stupid cat did.

3. Bring a ladder —The problem with many athletes — outside of the fact that they suck and make more money than you — is that their properties are gated. So it's hard to get on their property to vandalize it. Sure, you could scale the wall … but they're the professional athlete, not you. You're not strong enough to scale a wall. You're a fat, miserable fan.

4. Spread your venom — You need to focus on the athlete and his indiscretions, of course, but athletes get booed and ripped on talk radio all the time. They have pretty thick skin. What you want to do to really catch their attention is spread the hate around. Is the athlete married? Write something about his wife being fat and ugly. Then destroy his kids' swing set. Or just destroy his family altogether by writing something like "This is what you get for f—king my girlfriend!" Sure, you don't have a girlfriend. But now the cops will look for someone who does. You're free!

5. Run! Run! Run! — Did you just hear the front door open? I thought you said there weren't any lights on inside?! Ohmigod! If he catches us we're going to get whupped! Run! RUN! RUUUUUUNNNNNNN!
