These voters are ELITE.
"This is the offense. This is what we've been doing all year and it's time to take a hard look at it because it's not working," said Roethlisberger. "I don't understand the philosophy of a fumbling-based offense, I really don't. Is it supposed to keep the defense on their toes? Are we supposed to fumble the ball forward? Or to a teammate who will be wide open to scoop it up and run for big yardage? These are things that were never worked out."
Roethlisberger said he tried to give Haley's offense his full effort and support, but admits he had doubts from the beginning.
"Hey, it was no surprise I wasn't thrilled by the hiring in the offseason," said the quarterback. "But I know football. I am a student of the game and I was aware of the offense Todd ran with the Chiefs. The entire identity of that offense was turnovers. And what happened? It didn't work and they lost. I wanted to say something now before it's too late here."
It's the only way to make beating the Chiefs a challenge.
Hey, he doesn't care for people being grabby when it comes to the sexual organs.
But Ben Roethlisberger would've given Eli Manning wedgies as a child.
"I have never been charged with a crime," said Roethlisberger. "But you hope that if people see you are trying to make positive changes in your life, be a good person and not put yourself in bad situations, they will give you the benefit of the doubt. But even that doesn't win over everyone. So for all the people who still don't like me, let me say: 'I am sorry for all of the raping I have done in the past. I'm going to do my best to not do more raping. I hope we can all move past the raping now. That's all I will say on the matter.'"
The quarterback knew he would face some difficult questions at Super Bowl Media Day and sought out the advice of coaches, players and close friends on how to handle them.
"They said all I could do is just try to be gracious and present myself as the good guy I am trying to be," said the quarterback. "But I soon realized there were still some skeptics out there, so I just decided to audible to doing a 'My Bad on the raping.'"
"That's all I wanted to hear you say," said the reporter who asked Roethlisberger a question about his offseason incident. "We're good now. Thanks!"
Dog-killing and sexual assault allegations don't matter if you're TOUGH.
Whoa. Go get a bar bathroom, guys.
Roethlisberger was not DTF: Down To Fight.
