News Belichick Announces Tom Brady Will Start Games 1 and 3 of the Playoffs

New England Patriots head coach Bill Belichick set his starting rotation for the NFL playoffs today, announcing that MVP candidate Tom Brady will get the ball for Games 1 and 3, while No. 2 Brian Hoyer will start Game 2, or the AFC Championship Game.

"I am obviously a competitor, so you want to start every game," said Tom Brady. "But everyone knows that Bill is in charge around here so I just have to go along with the plan."

The Patriots don't have a third quarterback so Brady and Hoyer will need to quarterback complete games.

"The Super Bowl, if we make it that far, would give Tom an extra week of rest to get ready and I want my top guy starting that game," said Belichick. "It would also let Brian recover, too, so if we need to bring him in late like the Giants did with Tim Lincecum in the World Series, we have that option."

"I appreciate Bill's confidence in me," said Hoyer, 25, who has thrown only 42 passes in his two-year career. "But, umm … I don't know if this is such a good idea. I feel very unprepared. I just don't see how I could win the AFC Championship Game."

News Person Named "Jimmer Fredette" Attempting To Be Taken Seriously

BYU senior guard Jimmer Fredette continued his scoring rampage Tuesday night with 47 points in his team's 25-point victory over rival Utah. Fredette hit 16-of-28 shots, and was 6-of-9 on 3-pointers, but still missed on having any credibility as a basketball player or human due to his unbelievably absurd name.

"Jimmer Fredette is as good a player as I've ever seen in the college ranks," said Utah coach Jim Boylen. "He's not one-dimensional. He can score from anywhere on the court. Probably most impressive is, that for someone named 'Jimmer,' he doesn't seem to piss his pants and I hear he can ride a bike with the training wheels off."

BYU head coach Dave Rose says having the name of a 3 year-old boy with glasses and a severe peanut allergy has driven Fredette to succeed and prove to people that he can do more than sit on the sidelines with his asthma inhaler reading books about dinosaurs.
