The people of New Orleans feted their Super Bowl champion Saints yesterday with a parade through the city, and made the event special by staying relatively sober. "Most days in New Orleans are like this, so we wanted it to stand out for the players so they didn't get lost in the usual partying and celebration," said Saints fan Jason Landreau. "Also, I thought it might be cool to remember the parade." Saints players say they noticed and appreciated the their fans' efforts. "There was definitely something special in the air today," said quarterback Drew Brees. "An excitement. An energy. Pride. Also, it didn't smell like vomit and piss."
