Chicago Bears third-string running back Adrian Peterson luckily avoided apprehension today despite driving as fast as 42 mph through a 35 mph zone near the team's practice facility. "I was going pretty fast!" said a noticeably excited Peterson. "Some cars were passing me and stuff, but only barely. At one point I was pretty sure a cop was going to pull me over, but it just turned out to be a siren in a rap song I was listening to." Peterson said he may report his violation to the police anyway in hopes of getting his name in the paper like his hero Adrian Peterson of the Vikings.
