Baseball's annual winter meetings open in Indianapolis next week and New York Yankees general manager Brian Cashman says this year he is taking sugar cookies and a chocolate torte. "All the other GMs love my famous sugar cookies. They're a must-have and a winter meetings tradition now," he said. "But every year I try something new, too. This year it's a chocolate torte. I hope it's good. I'm making a low-fat version. You know how those turn out sometimes." Phillies general manager Ruben Amaro says he always looks forward to the winter meetings. "It's a time of great food, fun and fellowship during the holiday season," he said. "Also, I would like to acquire some bullpen help."
