George O’Leary is a Black Woman

...Further review of George O’Leary’s resume and application for the Notre Dame head football coaching position has uncovered more discrepancies.

We at SportsPickle.com are just baffled that no one noticed that George O'Leary was really a black woman.
...“George O’Leary is a black woman,” Notre Dame Athletics Director Kevin White said today at a press conference.

...A statement issued by George O’Leary on the revelation read as follows:

...“Many years ago, as a young married mother, I sought to pursue my dream as a football coach. In seeking employment, I prepared a resume that contained inaccuracies regarding my completion of course work for a Master's Degree and also my level of participation in football at my alma mater – and the fact that I’m a black woman. These misstatements were never stricken from my resume or biographical sketch in later years.”

...O’Leary’s given name is Wanda Jackson. She changed it before applying for her first coaching position.

...White said he thinks the O’Leary/Jackson hiring shows that Notre Dame is committed to diversity.

...“Notre Dame is an institution in college football,” he said. “The fact that we are the first school to hire not only a woman, but a black woman, as head football coach – albeit accidentally – speaks volumes about Notre Dame.”
