He Hate Me Commits Suicide

... Rod Smart, aka He Hate Me, was found dead today in his Philadelphia apartment. Experts feel the former XFL star’s moniker “He Hate Me” was not a publicity stunt, but a cry for help from a troubled soul.

"He Hate Me" tries to find someone to love him, but he was pushed away by this teammate shortly after this photo was taken.
...Philadelphia Police Department (PPD) spokesman Ellis LeRoy said He Hate Me was found hanging from a chandelier in his living room. Hate Me rigged a makeshift noose from his Las Vegas Outlaws jersey.

...Hate Me was signed by the Eagles midway through the season and totaled two carries for six yards. However, he was not included on the Eagles’ playoff roster, which may have pushed him to take his life.

...A suicide note found on Hate Me’s coffee table repeated the phrase “He Hate Me” more than 100 times in a scrawled script. The note closed with: “He Hate Me. They Hate Me. Everyone Hate Me. I Hate Me.”

... “It’s sad that no one noticed Hate Me’s cry for help,” LeRoy said. “Having that phrase on the back of his jersey was no different than putting ‘I’m Suicidal’ or ‘Please Help Me’ on it. He put himself out there in front of millions of people and not a single person confronted him and offered to help. Instead, they laughed and thought the phrase was a clever marketing tactic. Suicide is never the answer, but everyone who ever heard the name He Hate Me holds a share of the blame.”
