Why Three-Time Super Bowl Champion Bill Belichick is Wrong and Tim Tebow Sucks
by your friend Steve
You gotta be kidding me? The Patriots signed Tebow? Is this some kind of joke?
Tim Tebow is the worst player in the NFL. That's a fact.
He can't throw like an NFL quarterback and any "success" he had with the Broncos was thanks to his defense bailing him out. Anyone who says differently is a moron who worships at the alter of Tebow and thinks the three quarters before the fourth quarter don't exist.
Now we can add Bill Belichick to the list of Tebow-loving idiots.
Once, a very long time ago now, Belichick won three Super Bowls. Now he rarely gets through the later rounds of the playoffs or he loses in the Super Bowl. The game has passed him by. This Tebow-signing confirms it. Like Tebow's defense bailing him out, you have to start wondering if Belichick's "success" is all due to SpyGate. Tim Tebow simply has no place on an NFL team, not even as a backup or situational role player. None.
You may say: "What do you know, Steve? You're just a data analysis for a management consulting firm. Maybe I should defer to Belichick's judgment here."
Well, first of all: I know a lot. I watch football all weekend in the fall and my fantasy teams are consistently in contention. I also told everyone that JaMarcus Russell would suck in the NFL, so I can evaluate talent far better than just some average "fan." But fine. If you don't want to take my word for it that Tebow is worthless to an NFL team, I'll give you a whole list of real, card-carrying football experts who say he is:
> New York Jets: The Jets wouldn't even put Tebow on the field last year, and their only other options were Mark Sanchez and Greg McElroy last year. That says a lot.
> Jacksonville Jaguars: The Jaguars are Tebow's hometown team and many of their fans (stupidly) want the Jags to sign him. Yet even with those built-in marketing boosts, the Jaguars have passed on Tebow three times now.
> Montreal Alouettes: Their GM said he'd consider bringing Tebow in as a backup quarterback in the CFL! I mean, really, Patriots.
> Omaha Beef: The Omaha Beef of the Champions Professional Indoor Football League offered Tebow a contract of $75/game and their current quarterback, James McNear, said: "I think he can learn a lot from me."
So I guess the choice is yours. Who do you think is right? Do you want to side with Bill Belichick on this one? Or go with the combined knowledge of me, the Jets, the Jaguars, a CFL team and Omaha Beef quarterback James McNear?
I thought so.
