Florida State offensive coordinator Jimbo Fisher went through the gameplan for the Seminoles' home finale against Maryland today as though head coach Bobby Bowden wasn't even there. "I spent a lot of time on this," Fisher said, addressing the team as Bowden dozed in a chair in the corner of the room, "but if there are any questions, I want to hear them now." Quarterback Christian Ponder said he thought it was kind of rude. "I understand Bobby is old and doesn't have anything to do with the team anymore despite his title, but at least show him some respect. He's not dead yet." Fisher agrees but says he has been down that road. "I used to try to clue him in, but it took twice as long to share the game plan. I'd say: 'We have to establish the run.' And he'd lean in and say: 'What? I can't hear you.' And then I'd yell: 'WE HAVE TO ES-TAB–LISH THE RUN!' It took forever and the kids lost focus. This way is much faster. It's what Bobby would want if he still had his wits about him."
